“The Wolf and the Vampire” book series

Inspired by an idea by my amazing publisher, Mike Blackburn at Zeloo Media, my books ‘The Wolf In Me’, ‘The Wolf In You’, and ‘VEGA – The Vampire King’, have all been linked together on Amazon as a book series called “The Wolf and the Vampire King” – currently a three book series available in paperback and as ebooks, which began in 2017, and which tells “the story of Olivia Hunter, an ordinary woman propelled into an extraordinary world. A mother, a teacher, a lover, a werewolf trying to find a way to walk a line between two different worlds”.

Happy 10th Birthday ‘Poet of the Sphere’

10 years ago, on June 1st, 2012, my first book of poetry ‘Poet of the Sphere’ was published by my amazing publisher Zeloo Media after the amazing Mike Blackburn gave me the opportunity of a lifetime to share my voice, my passion, my art, and my gift with the world, and I will forever be eternally grateful. And now, 10 years on from Jen Blackburn becoming friends with me on MySpace and reading my poetry and introducing me to Mike, here I am – after publishing a further 11 books of poetry, short-stories, and novellas – celebrating the 10th birthday of the book and gift that changed my life forevermore. So, Happy 10th Birthday ‘Poet of the Sphere’! 😊🎂📖📚

Episode #26: “You” (TV series) – Season 1, a review

In this episode Mark does a review of the first season of the American psychological thriller television series “You” developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. Based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, the story follows the character of Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley), a New York bookstore manager and serial killer who falls in love with a customer, Guinevere Beck (played by Elizabeth Lail), and quickly develops an extreme, toxic, and delusional obsession with them.

My Poem “I love books”

I love that books are still being written…
I love that books are still being read…
I love that books are still being listen to
while people are driving,
while people are walking,
while people are sitting in a chair,
or while people are lying down in bed…
I love that books are still physical objects
that people from all ages can hold,
feel, and marvel at the art of
as they flick through their pages…
I love that books are still filled with stories
of characters that do not always have
an accurate description of how they
talk or how they look,
so undividual readers have the gift
of being able to imagine what characters
sound like when talk as well as
paint their own picture in their mind
of how certain characters appear…
one of the things that I love
about the act of reading, as well as
the art of coming up with a brand new story,
is the power that people have
to be able to generate figments
of their own imagination that are
reconstitutions of the familiar,
the recognisable, the known,
the big, the small, the significant,
and the things from our memories
that mesmerise us,
as well as so much more –
but, to me, it is the magic of words
that lies at the heart of why
I will always love books.
